Teams require support and groups can be vital support systems.
Coaching teams and coaching groups call for distinctive approaches.
Team Coaching
focuses on collective goals that all members of the team share. There are no individual objectives, the team is coached. Shared vision and values are often examined and there is significant emphasis on change, action, and accountability. Teams develop their goals, ways of working, strategies, and interventions to implement.
Team coaching can have a significant positive impact on the organization, particularly on business performance, silo softening, innovation, organizational culture as well as employee engagement and retention.
Group Coaching
brings together people with a common purpose to engage in a process of personal or professional development. While the overarching theme for each group series is the same, individual goals may differ. Group coaching is a dynamic and interactive process that leverages the power of peer learning and support to facilitate the development of each individual.
Some of my favorite group coaching series were around the topics of neurodiversity, emotional intelligence, communication, leadership, and life transitions.
